Blotter: Rockwell woman charged with identity theft

ROCKWELL – Marissa Kaye Cook, 28, of Rockwell, was charged Wednesday with felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor larceny.

According to an arrest warrant for Cook, she allegedly obtained a credit card under false pretenses and attempted to deposit $10 into a jail ATM account.

Cook has previous felony drug convictions, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety’s offender database.

In other warrants:

  • Rocky D. Brady, 31, of Salisbury, was charged with felony possession of a schedule two controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday. Brady allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine as well as paraphernalia.
  • Mark Anthony Gresham was charged, 39, of Salisbury, was charged with felony possession of heroin, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
  • Brandon Ray Shepherd, 29, of High Point, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, misdemeanor possession of a schedule three controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • James Alan Rogers, 25, of Lexington, was charged with felony larceny by employee on Tuesday. Rogers allegedly took $800 in cash from Love’s Travel Stop.
  • Lamont Levon Porter, 20, of Kannapolis, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia on Tuesday.
