Union Chapel AME Zion
LINWOOD — The Steward Board of Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Road, will host its 9th Annual GospelFest Saturday at 6 p.m.
Groups planning to attend are: The Zionettes of Union Chapel; Jonahville Male Choir of Huntersville;, Hood Memorial Mass Choir of Belmont; Unity N Praise of Salisbury; Echoes for Christ of Salisbury; St Luke Gospel Choir of Salisbury; The Carter Family of Lexington; Jada McCall of Charlotte; and more.
Rev. Michael Frencher Jr is host pastor.

Movie night at Trading Ford
Trading Ford Baptist Church, t 3600 Long Ferry Road, will be holding a movie night on Sunday at 6 p.m., showing ‘Overcomer.’

Annual Gospel program and tribute
WOODLEAF — The Mighty Pilgrimaires of Salisbury’s Annual Gospel Program & Tribute to the late Rev. Rudolph Cornelius takes place Sunday at 3 p.m. at Freedom United Church of God, 1555 Hart Road.
On program will be First Resurrection Church of God Choir of Statesville; Cedar Grove Gospel Choir of Cleveland; The Carriers of Joy from Concord; The Messengers for Christ of Cleveland; and The Anointed Vessels of the Carolinas. Emcee will be Brother Roland Carter. Food will be sold.
Bishop Willie Joe Gray is host pastor.

John Calvin Presbyterian
John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 1620 Brenner Ave., will hold its Sunday morning service in the sanctuary.
Rev. Kate Morrison is host pastor.

Fairview Heights anniversary celebration
Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, is hosting its 19th pastoral anniversary for Pastor Clarence E. Marlin and First Lady Evangelist Cathye Marlin, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 7 and running through Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. nightly.
Guest speakers are:
Tuesday: Pastor Debra Hall of New Hope AME Zion Church of East Spencer;
Wednesday: Pastor Marcus Fairley of Salisbury’s St. Luke Baptist Church;
Thursday: Pastor Dr. B.H. Casey of New Zion Baptist Church of Linwood.
On Sunday, Jan. 12 the morning service begins at 11 a.m. and dinner will follow in the fellowship hall at 1:30 p.m.
The 3 p.m. service will conclude the celebration with Pastor Rick Galloway of Dorsett Chapel United Church of Christ as Spencer, as guest speaker.
