Rowan weather: A little break from the rain

We’ll have cloudy day today, but just a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m. The high will be 54, with east northeast wind at 3-7 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Tonight, the chance of showers increases to 50 percent, but again, less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. It will be cloudy with temperatures falling to 50 by 9 p.m., then rising to 61 overnight. Patchy fog is possible between 8 and 11 p.m. Winds will be south southwest at 5-10 mph after midnight.
Heavy rain and strong to severe thunderstorms are predicted Thursday, with a 90 percent chance of rain. The high will be 67, with west southwest wind at 9-14 mph, gusting to 22 mph. Higher winds are are possible during storms. Most of the showers and storms will be before 3 p.m. and fog is possible between 11 a.m. and noon. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is expected.
Thursday night will have just a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and cooler, with a low of 36. North winds will be at 6-9 mph.
Friday will be mostly sunny, but chilly, with a high of just 48 and north wind at 5-8 mph. The low will be a very cold 23, with mostly clear skies.
Saturday will be sunny and even chillier, with a high of 45. The low will be 30, with partly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be partly sunny and 56. The low will be 36, with more clouds.
Monday will be partly sunny and 58, then a 40 percent chance of showers moves in Monday night, with a low of 44.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and 63, with a 40 percent chance of showers.
