Blotter: Woman charged with fleeing traffic stop, assaulting police officer

SALISBURY — Patricia Anne Tingler, 36, of Salisbury, was charged Saturday in connection to a Friday incident when she allegedly attempted to leave the scene of a traffic stop by pulling away while a police officer was investigating a DWI.

Later, Tingler allegedly assaulted an officer by kicking him in the legs while waiting for medical staff to perform a blood draw on her to test alcohol levels.

Tingler was charged with misdemeanor assault on a government official, resisting a public officer and cited for driving while impaired.

In other blotter news:

  • Joseph Palladin Polnisch, 29, of Salisbury, was arrested for misdemeanor assault on a female on Sunday. The arrest warrant for Polnisch alleges he struck Crysta Lena Cardoza on the side of the side of her head, causing swelling. Cardoza, 35, was also charged in with misdemeanor assault and battery in connection to the incident for allegedly striking Polnisch in the face.
  • Jessica Jean Jackson, 28, of Kannapolis, was charged with felony possession of heroin on the premises of Rowan County Detention Center on Friday.
