Rowan weather: Foggy morning, but warm

Rowan is under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. The Spencer and downtown Salisbury areas are nearly invisible. The fog will linger at least to 10 a.m.

We’ll eventually have partly sunny skies, with a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. The high will be 66, with south southwest wind at 5-10 mph in the afternoon.

The chance of showers and a few thunderstorms goes up tonight to 50 percent, with showers and storms before 9, then showers through 10 p.m. Skies will clear overnight, with a low of 33. West wind will be 8-11 mph, gusting to 18 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Thursday will be sunny, but much cooler, with a high of 47 and winds from the west at 8-18 mph, gusting to 29 mph. Thursday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 27 and west wind at 3-7 mph.

Skies will be mostly sunny Friday, with a high of 48. Winds will be west southwest in the morning, then southwest at 6-11 mph later, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Saturday will be sunny and 46. The low will be 26, with mostly clear skies.

Sunday will be sunny and 54, with a mostly cloudy night and a low around 45.

Monday will be mostly sunny and 58. The low will be 45, with cloudy skies.

Tuesday brings a 30 percent chance of showers. It will be mostly cloudy and 64.
