LEXINGTON — South Rowan got its first win on Friday, pounding Lexington 30-0 in three innings for a Central Carolina Conference win.
South (1-5, 1-2) scored 15 runs in the first inning.
Zoie Miller pitched a no-hitter for the Raiders. She struck out four and didn’t walk a batter.
South put up some big offensive numbers. Clara Bean had three extra-base hits. McKinley Faw had two triples and five RBIs. Miller scored four and drove in five.
Miller and the McGuire twins, Madison and Makenzie, hit home runs.
The McGuires had identical days — four at-bats, two hits, three RBIs.
Breanna Ramseuer had two hits and three RBIs. Bailey Yon scored four runs.

KANNAPOLIS — Tali Hagler pitched a shutout as A.L. Brown beat Northwest Cabarrus 6-0 in Friday’s South Piedmont Conference game.
Lauren Ritchie had three hits and two RBIs. Gracie Brown, Maddy Daniels and Lindsay Wolford had two hits apiece.

Salisbury swept Thomasville in Friday’s doubleheader, 16-1 and 18-7.
Ellen Yang struck out 16 and won both games.
In the first game, Alli Tuck had three hits and Yang and Caroline Cozart had two hits and three RBIs each. Cozart had an inside-the-park homer.
In the second game, Autumn Walser had three hits and four RBIs and Tanja Beck had three RBIs.

CHINA GROVE — Lacie Coubal and Kasey Lee homered as Central Cabarrus (4-0) beat Carson 11-4 on Friday.
