I am so shocked to hear about the number of COVID-19 cases in Rowan County.

I would like to say that I believe that this virus is not something to panic over but it should be taken seriously. I feel that the United States has done a good job of acting before COVID-19 became out of hand. However, anyone can see that even a small county like Rowan can grow in its number of cases.

Although this virus is being handled and we are already recommended to stay home, we need to ensure that we as a community follow that.

Cases continue to grow and to prevent mandatory quarantining, we all have to do our part and stay home as much as possible. I encourage everyone, if they can, to stay home. Please! I would love to be able to have my life and senior year back! I hope everyone stays safe.
