Letter: Community Care Clinic stands ready to meet needs

Published 12:00 am Sunday, April 26, 2020

The Community Care Clinic of Rowan County is an invaluable resource to our community, especially now.

The clinic offers free primary care, dental and pharmacy services to uninsured Rowan County adults. Even during this time of social distancing, the clinic still operates its primary care services through telehealth and offers a drive-up pharmacy.

Dental services are closed during this time, with dental emergencies being addressed on a case by case basis. Understanding our local emergency department needs to be utilized for true medical emergencies, the clinic works to keep people out of the emergency department who don’t have urgent medical needs.

Our community has seen a recent surge in unemployment and loss of insurance coverage. The Community Care Clinic stands ready to meet the health needs of our neighbors in need.

If you or someone you know is in need of services, visit the clinic’s website at communitycareofrowan.org to learn more about the enrollment process and to fill out an application online.

This amazing clinic — which is still operating during this pandemic — is funded through the generosity of our community. Donations may be made by mail at 315-G Mocksville Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144 or by visiting the website at www.communitycareofrowan.org.
