CHAPEL HILL — The NCHSAA will hold a press conference Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. after its board of directors meeting.

NCHSAA commissioner Que Tucker is expected to address the media and take questions.

The board of directors had a scheduled meeting on the calendar for Tuesday and Wednesday. With last week’s announcement to officially cancel spring sports, and with some uncertainty about summer team activities and workouts and fall sports, a lot of attention has been placed on the meeting.

It is expected that the board will announce contingency plans for summer and fall.

In addition to the pandemic, the NCHSAA is facing a realignment year.
