SALISBURY — Rowan public health officials have confirmed Liberty Commons, one of four congregate living facilities where there is an outbreak, is the site of at least six positive COVID-19 cases.
Liberty Commons, 4412 S. Main St., has two positive staff members and four positive patients, said spokesman T.J. Brown. Roughly one week ago, the Liberty Commons outbreak, two or more cases, was first confirmed when the staff members tested positive.
It was the third congregate living facility to have an outbreak. The other facilities are the N.C. State Veteran’s Home, located on the Hefner VA Medical Center campus; the Citadel of Salisbury, and the Laurels of Salisbury.
According to the county health department, Rowan has 381 positive COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths. The state had a slightly higher tally of total cases on Monday morning, 392.
