Boyd and Patricia Morgan of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 31, 2020. The couple were united in marriage on May 31, 1970 at Faith Lutheran Church, in Faith, by Pastor Alfred Rhyne.
Boyd retired as Chief Master Sargent from the US Air Force after 26 years in 1996 as a Master Air Traffic Controller and he also retired as the Director of Veteran Services after 20 years with Rowan and Davidson County governments in 2017. Patricia retired as the Executive Secretary from Chief of Staff office at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in 2016 after 38 years with the Federal Government.
Their daughter is Amanda Meacham, and spouse Mark Meacham of Salisbury. They also have two grandchildren, Grant and Gavin Meacham.
The couple has a future trip planned to Nova Scotia, Canada that had to be rescheduled due to the COVID pandemic.
