CLEVELAND — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a couple found inside their Cleveland home.

The couple, Susan Elaine Childers, 53, and Marty Franklin Childers, 53, were discovered at their home located in the 600 block of Childers Road, Sunday by their son.

He arrived at the home around noon to find one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom, said Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Capt. John Sifford.

He’d seen them the night before when they helped him move a couch. There appeared to be no foul play. Investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy to confirm the cause of their death.
