SALISBURY — A Kannapolis man was killed Tuesday after he collided into a pickup traveling on South Main Street.
Kevin Love Jr., 26, was traveling northbound in the 2900 block of South Main Street when he lost control of his 2006 Nissan Altima. His vehicle slid into the path of a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Ethan Newcomb, 19, who was traveling in the southbound lane.
Newcomb tried to brake but could not avoid the collision with the passenger car, DeSantis said.
Love died at the scene. Newcomb was not injured in the crash.
Police are not sure what caused the collision. It is still being investigated, DeSantis said.
