Letter: Paint ‘I Have a Dream’ on streets

Sunday afternoon, I googled “I Have a Dream” and re-read Rev. Martin Luther King’s speech at the March on Washington in 1963. I am always amazed by the power and beauty of this speech and highly recommend that everyone should read it, both to see how far this nation has come since 1963 and to reflect on Martin Luther King Jr.’s hope for the future.
His vision of all people joining hands in freedom is my idea of the American dream, a dream that unites us all. If our city is seriously considering painting a statement on the streets my suggestion would be, “I Have a Dream.”
