Letter: Removing statues, renaming streets is offensive

I have pretty much kept quiet about what’s going on. I’ve kept my opinions to myself.
Now I am speaking up. I am so disappointed and saddened. A statue offends you? What about renaming street names just to hush rioters? That offends me!
While I agree the world needs to see people as equals, removing statues and renaming streets is very one-sided in my opinion. Those things are offensive to me.
“Fame” is an angel holding up a wounded soldier. If you see something differently, perhaps it’s you who sees color and has hate in your heart.
