Blotter: Thieves steal catalytic converter from local furniture shop

SALISBURY — Thieves broke into a truck that belonged to a local furniture company and left with a catalytic converter.
There have been a number of catalytic converter thefts in the city, county and in Iredell County.
Kimbrell’s Furniture reported Monday someone gained access to a truck, which was not locked. The thieves ransacked the truck and then stole the catalytic converter. The company, which is located at 2141 Statesville Blvd., believes it occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday.
