SALISBURY — Salisbury police are investigating a Thursday morning home invasion and robbery where a couple and their child were threatened at gunpoint in their Salisbury home.
According to detective Russ DeSantis, someone knocked on the door of a home on West Franklin Street around 7:30 a.m. A woman living there heard the knock and a man who was also living at the home answered the door, DeSantis said.
There was some conversation between the man who lived there and two men who were outside. The man tried to shut the door, but the two others forced their way into the house. One of the suspects had a gun, grabbed the man and asked about money.
The couple’s young daughter came from a bedroom and the men threatened to shoot her, DeSantis said. The couple told the suspects where the money was and they left the house.
The couple is believed to know one of the suspects by his first name only, DeSantis said. Police have identified one suspect in the home invasion but no arrests had been made as of Friday.
