In Salisbury Police Department Reports:

  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred at the 1100 block of Laurel Street at 11:20 p.m. on Oct. 19. It was reported on Oct. 20.
  • A burglary occurred at the 100 block of Milford Hills Road at 4:07 a.m. on Oct. 20.
  • An attempted theft of a motor vehicle occurred at the 200 block of Castlewood Drive between 2 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 20.
  • Embezzlement occurred at the 600 block of Industrial Avenue between 1 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. It was reported on Oct. 20. The total estimated loss was $7,000.
  • Shoplifting occurred at the 2200 block of Statesville Boulevard between 10:40 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Oct. 20. The total estimated loss was $60.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred at the 1200 block of North Main Street between 2:29 a.m. and 3:56 p.m. on Oct. 20. The total estimated loss was $70.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at the 1900 block of Ganell Avenue at 8:10 p.m. on Oct. 20. According to police reports, the stolen vehicle was located just after dispatch notified officers of the incident. A pursuit occurred, and the driver of the stolen vehicle jumped from the vehicle and ran. The driver was arrested and the passenger of the vehicle remains at large, according to reports.
  • A hit and run occurred at the 1500 block of South Jake Alexander Boulevard at 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 20.
  • A burglary occurred at the 2100 block of Statesville Boulevard ate 6:39 a.m. on Oct. 22. The total estimated loss was $100.
  • A burglary occurred at the 1400 block of Old Wilkesboro Road at 8:22 a.m. on Oct. 22.
  • A larceny of a motor vehicle occurred at 2300 block of Statesville Boulevard between 5 a.m. and 9:54 a.m. on Oct. 22.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at the 400 block of Institute Street between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Oct. 21. It was reported on Oct. 22.
  • Dasean Raheed Herndon, 25, was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses on Oct. 21.
  • Shannon Elaine Knox, 30, was charged with second-degree trespassing on Oct. 21.
  • Amie Shantelle Tucker, was charged, with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance on Oct. 22.
  • Wayne Jared Fullam, was charged with impaired driving on Oct. 22.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office

  • Attempted fraud occurred at Gregory Road in Salisbury at 9 a.m. on Oct. 18. It was reported on Oct. 19.
  • A stolen was vehicle was recovered at Sells Road in Salisbury at 2:40 a.m. on Oct. 19.
  • Resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer occurred at Benjamin Trot Lane in Salisbury at 9:58 a.m. on Oct. 19. According to police reports, deputies attempted to serve a warrant and the suspect fled from them.
  • Fraud by wire, computer or electric manipulation at Dixie Lane in Salisbury between 3:31 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 1:02 p.m. on Oct. 19. According to police reports, a woman sent $19,400 worth of Bitcoin after receiving a scam phone call saying she had outstanding warrants.
  • An assault occurred at Leader Lane in Kannpolis between 3 a.m. and 3:19 a.m. on Oct. 20.
  • Communicating threats occurred at Peeler Road in Salisbury between 1 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 19. It was reported on Oct. 20.
  • A larceny occurred at Parks Road in Woodleaf between 1:56 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 20.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle theft occurred at Old Beatty Ford Road in Rockwell between midnight and 3 p.m. on Oct. 20.
  • A larceny occurred at the 100 block of Organ Church Road in Salisbury at 8 p.m. on Oct. 20. According to police reports, two suspects stole $159.50 worth of items from a Dollar General.
  • An assault occurred at Timber Trail in Gold Hill at 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 20.
  • A larceny occurred at Longbriar Drive in Kannapolis between 5 a.m. and 10:55 p.m. on Oct. 20.
  • A larceny occurred at East Ridge Road in Salisbury between 3:23 a.m. on Oct. 14 and 10:13 a.m. on Oct. 20. It was reported on Oct. 21.
  • A larceny occurred at Cannon Farm Road in China Grove between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Oct. 19. It was reported on Oct. 21.
  • Tyson Leon Gaymon, 35, was charged with felony breaking and entering of a building and larceny after breaking and entering on Oct. 18.
  • David Ray Stiller, 38, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses on Oct. 18.
  • William Casey Cofer, 36, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and a probation violation on Oct. 18.
  • Bradley Michael Hager, 26, was charged with communicating threats on Oct. 18.
  • Jose Daniel Laniez, 28, was charged with failure to heed a light or siren, a probation violation, having a fictitious license plate, resisting a public officer, driving while license revoked, littering, possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a motor vehicle without registration on Oct. 18

  • Avone Jrell Williams, 22, was charged with possession of a firearm by felon on Oct. 19.
  • Daron Keith Murphy, 36, was charged with driving without a license and failure to wear a seat belt on Oct. 19.
  • Brian Kelley, 45, was charged with being intoxicated and disruptive on Oct. 20.
  • Phil Albert Brown III, 44, was charged with failure to notify of a change of address as a sex offender on Oct. 20.
  • Cherry Elizabeth Funderburk, 58, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon on Oct. 20.
  • Richard Leon Wilson Jr., 26, was charged with possession of up to 1.5 ounces of marijuana on Oct. 20.
