SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested on Thursday after police reportedly found child pornography on a Dropbox account he operated.

Victor Canaan Emery Kyles, 29, was charged with 26 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to a spokesperson for the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, the office was notified in April of 2021 that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Childrens had concerns of child sexual abuse material being uploaded in a residence in Salisbury. The residence was located on Ladino Lane.

Police investigated the tip, identified Kyles as the resident and reportedly obtained records that indicated he was the one uploading the pornography.

According to police records, Kyles was arrested around 5 p.m. at the 300 block North Main Street in Granite Quarry. Kyles was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond. His first court appearance was on Oct. 20.
