GRANITE QUARRY — A weekend fire destroyed the home of the family that operates This Little Piggy food truck. On Sunday, a friend launched a GoFundMe campaign to help offset some of the family’s newfound expenses.

“I am setting up this GoFundMe account for a beloved family in our community; the Overcash Family,” the post read.

The fire occurred at the Overcash residence in the 500 block of Coley Road, just outside of Granite Quarry.

“Thankfully, the family (as well as their beloved dog, Missy) are all safe and sound,” the post said. “However, the family is now displaced from their home, as it is unlivable due to the fire damage, as well as heavy smoke damage to the entire home.”

According to the post, the Overcash family was forced to cancel upcoming events “to focus on their family and rebuilding” everything that was lost in the blaze.

“Many of you have asked how to help, and currently, this support is the best thing we can do to help Jeff, Paige, Nick and Daniel get back on their feet,” the post said. “Even if you are unable to give, please continue to lift this family up in prayers. They continue to thank God that their family is together and safe during this difficult time. Any support is greatly appreciated.”

A post on Paige Overcash’s personal Facebook page indicated that 90 percent of their belongings were destroyed in the fire.

According to reports from Saturday, the fire began around 12:30 p.m. on the back patio of the Overcash home.

The fire engulfed the patio, causing extensive damage, according to an official on the scene. The inside of the home was left mostly untouched by the flames but still suffered from a large amount of smoke damage. The fire was ruled under control around 30 minutes later.

Rockwell Rural Fire Department was the first department on the scene. Granite Quarry, Salisbury, Faith, West Liberty and Rockwell fire departments all assisted with fighting the blaze.

On Tuesday, the campaign had raised $725 of the $20,000 goal.
