In addition to regular material checkouts, Rowan Public Library offers rentals of popular new releases in fiction and nonfiction. Rentals can be popular titles with long hold lists, or anticipated popular titles made available prior to the materials being added to the shelves. Sponsored by the Friends of the Rowan Public Library, book rentals are available for library customers for one- or two-week periods for a minimal cost, which supports the library.
Rowan Public Library just received its newest batch of rentals this week and they are ready for check out by customers. Customers can choose to check out rental items for one week for $2, or two weeks for $4.
Memoirs have been among some of the most popular nonfiction requests. You asked, and we listened. One new memoir available for rental is “The Woman in Me” by Britney Spears, a tell-all depicting the life, struggles and achievements of Spears, one of the most iconic pop singers of all time.
Another popular newly available memoir is “If You Would Have Told Me” by John Stamos, beloved Full House and General Hospital actor. Stamos’ memoir shares a universal story about friendship, love, loss and the courage to embrace love once more. If you are a fan of Uncle Jesse, this one’s for you.
On the fiction side, there are copies of both “The Fourth Wing” and “The Iron Flame,” books one and two in the wildly popular Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros. The first two books in the new adult fantasy series take readers on a thrilling and intense journey with dragons, deceit and romance with characters determined to succeed.
“The Summer of Songbirds,” by Salisbury native Kristy Woodson Harvey, is a story about four women who come together to save the summer camp they all loved as children, while rediscovering themselves in the process. Also for rent are the latest releases from Janet Evanovich, James Patterson, John Grisham and more.
