Blotter for Nov. 30: Man wanted in Salisbury assault arrested in Concord

SALISBURY — A man wanted in a prior assault in Salisbury was arrested in Concord on charges stemming from the Nov. 21 assault.

Alonzo Ivery Gibson Jr., 48, was arrested on Concord Mills Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Concord Police Department records. Gibson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, breaking and entering of a building and felony larceny after breaking and entering, according to jail records. He was given a $15,000 bond pending his first court appearance.

The Salisbury Police Department had issued warrants for Gibson’s arrest after he allegedly broke into a home and assaulted the owner. A police spokesperson said that he threw a candle at the homeowner and then threatened him with a large shard of glass. Gibson then allegedly took the owner’s jacket off a hanger and left.

Gibson was placed into the Rowan County Detention Center on Wednesday.

In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 300 block of Crown Point Drive between midnight and 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 29. The total estimated loss was $10,000.
  • Kishan Rashad Shields, 28, was charged with a misdemeanor probation violation on Nov. 28.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • An assault occurred in the 800 block of South Kimmons Street in Landis at 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 27.
  • A larceny occurred at Pit Road in Mooresville between 2:17 a.m.on Nov. 22 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 27.
  • Vandalism occurred at Tingle Drive in Salisbury at 5:50 p.m. on Nov. 27.
  • A larceny from a building occurred at Hannah Ferry Road in Salisbury between 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 27.
  • Tanjay Lemans Brown, 46, was charged with possession of between 0.5 and 1.5 ounces of marijuana and driving while his license was revoked on Nov. 27.
  • David Wayne Rhinier, 47, was charged with violating a 50B order on Nov. 27.
  • Tahniya Monea Tillman, 26, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed gun on Nov. 27.
  • Jason Edward Morton, 41, was charged with failing to notify of a change of address as a sex offender on Nov. 27.
  • Brittney Wrubel, 37, was charged with a school attendance law violation on Nov. 27.
  • Andy Lee McManus, 45, was charged with conspiring to sell or deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, conspire to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine on Nov. 27.
  • Anastasis Sampson Michael III, 43, was charged with conspiring to traffic opium or methamphetamines, conspiring to traffic in methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and two counts of trafficking heroin or opium.
  • Chad Eugene Linker, 44, was charged with a misdemeanor probation violation on Nov. 27.
  • Emmanuel Lloyd Greyer, 37, was charged as a fugitive from justice on Nov. 28.
