VALDOSTA, Ga. — Lenoir-Rhyne’s football team scored four touchdowns in the second quarter, pounded Valdosta State 35-7 on Saturday and advanced to the Division II semifinals.
In a game played in driving rain, the Bears (13-1) rushed for 328 yards.
Lenoir-Rhyne’s defense had two interceptions and two fumble recoveries and the Bears blocked a punt.
The Blazers (12-2) got their only touchdown at the outset of the second half, but the Bears shut them down the rest of the way.
