In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • An assault occurred in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue at 2:52 a.m. on Nov. 30.
  • Communicating threats occurred in the 1100 block of Laurel Street at 10 a.m. on Nov. 30.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 800 block of Newsome Road at 5 p.m. on Nov. 30.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 5:53 p.m. on Nov. 30. The total estimated loss was $259.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 200 block of North Main Street in China Grove at 7:57 p.m. on Nov. 30. Police reports list the victim as the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 1500 block of South Jake Alexander Boulevard at 7:57 p.m. on Nov. 30. The total estimated loss was $91.
  • Karl Kenton Sale, 51, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture and obtaining property by false pretenses on Nov. 30.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • Fraud by false pretenses occurred at North Main Street in Salisbury at 1:12 p.m. on Nov. 29.
  • Credit card fraud occurred at Old Mocksville Road in Salisbury at 1:49 p.m. on Nov. 29.
  • Arson involving a residential building occurred at U.S. Highway 52 in Rockwell between 3:30 a.m. and 3:48 a.m. on Nov. 29. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that the incident is still under investigation.
  • An assault occurred at Canyon Lane in Kannapolis at 1:40 p.m. on Nov. 29.
  • Michael Daryle Withers, 27, was charged with injury to personal property, illegal discharge of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon on Nov. 29.
  • Roderick Desmond Jones, 34, was charged with assault on a female on Nov. 29.
  • Lori Beth Isenhour, 36, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while her license was revoked, displaying an expired registration plate and having an expired inspection on Nov. 29.
