Local stores join forces to support Communities in Schools

SALISBURY — The Community Schools of Rowan announced the collaboration of several local businesses for the upcoming Spirit Night Out event on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 5-8 p.m.
Ruthie Darling, South Main Book Company, Salty Caper Restaurant, Sweet Meadow Cafe and the House of T. Grace Studio Wellness Boutique will open that evening, transforming Main Street into a community engagement and support hub.
The Spirit Night Out event aims to unite residents and visitors alike, with an evening of shopping, dining and entertainment while contributing to a noteworthy cause. Those local establishments have agreed to allocate a portion of their proceeds from the event to support Communities in Schools, an organization that empowers students to stay in school and achieve in life.
Participating businesses, such as Ruthie Darling, a unique boutique offering a curated selection of fashion and accessories and South Main Book Company, an independent bookstore, will play a role in fostering community spirit.
Salty Caper Restaurant and Sweet Meadow Cafe will add to the evening’s festivities by serving treats to please the palate. Meanwhile, the House Of T. Grace Studio Wellness Boutique invites visitors to explore wellness products and services, promoting a holistic self-care approach.
The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of these local shops to give back to the community that supports them. By shopping and dining at these establishments on Spirit Night Out, patrons enjoy a memorable evening and contribute to the success of Communities in Schools.
