SALISBURY — A candidate for N.C. Commissioner of Agriculture will be joining the Rowan County Democratic Party during the latter’s monthly breakfast.

“Don’t miss hearing from Dr. Sarah Taber, 2024 candidate for N.C. Commissioner of Agriculture, at the Rowan County Democratic Party’s monthly breakfast meeting,” read an email from the organization.

The breakfast will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at Democratic Headquarters, located at 1504 West Innes Street in Salisbury. Doors open at 9:45 am.

Agriculture is the top industry in N.C. and agriculture policy shapes what we have to eat and affects all North Carolinians. Voters are invited to learn more about what Taber intends to accomplish as commissioner of agriculture after a career of bringing new people into agriculture and helping farm businesses grow. A question/answer session will follow her presentation.

Breakfast is a potluck event so bring a dish to share. The event is free, but a donation of $10 for monthly expenses is greatly appreciated.

RCDP will also collect new gifts at the breakfast for the annual Christmas party for the guests at Rowan Helping Ministries. Suggestions are for anything warm: gloves, mittens, socks, caps, scarves, etc. For additional details and general information, go to rowandemocrats.com.
