SALISBURY — In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Communities In Schools of Rowan and Livingstone College joined forces to host a surprise Popup Gift Shop, bringing  holiday cheer to needy families. The event, organized by the two organizations, aimed to spread joy and create memorable moments during the festive season. 

The Communities In Schools Popup Gift Shop is a hub of excitement as families are treated to an unexpected shopping experience. Parents and children were welcomed by volunteers from both  organizations, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. 

Communities In Schools Rowan collaborated with Livingstone College students and faculty to  curate diverse gifts for all ages. From toys and games for the little ones to electronics items and essentials for teens, the Popup Gift Shop catered to the unique needs of each family.

“The collaboration between Communities In Schools and Livingstone College exemplifies the spirit of the holiday season,” said James Davis, executive director of Communities In  Schools of Rowan. “I would like to thank Dr. Davis and his team and students for helping to collect gifts and allowing Communities In Schools Rowan to host this year’s pop-up shop at the Livingstone College campus. We believe in supporting our community, and this event is a testament to the power of coming together to make a positive impact.” 

Families attending the Popup Gift Shop expressed gratitude and joy at the surprise.
