SALISBURY — A woman was arrested after police say she sent explicit photos of her ex-husband to his extended family in a bid for revenge.

The investigation began when police responded to a call from a Landis home on Nov. 27. There, a man said that he was being harassed by his ex-wife, according to a spokesperson for the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. He said that his niece, nephew and another family member had all notified him that they had received explicit photos through text messages. The man said that the photos could have been retaliation for a custody battle they had earlier in the year and for missed child-support payments.

Deputies then went to the ex-wife’s home the next day and spoke with her, according to the spokesperson. There, she allegedly admitted that she had sent the photos, but said that she only sent them to stop the man’s family from texting and calling her throughout multiple hours of the night.

Barbara Isbanioly Miller, 30, was arrested on Monday and charged with two counts of felony disclosing private images. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $2,500 bond.
