Mitch Jeter, who grew up in Salisbury and went to high school at Concord’s Cannon School, is expected to be Notre Dame’s kicker in 2024.

Jeter has announced plans to transfer from South Carolina to Notre Dame.

Jeter has kicked field goals and PATs for the Gamecocks the past two seasons and has kicked off for four seasons.

He’s been extremely accurate — 23-for-25 on field goals and 75-for-78 on extra points.

Jeter (5-10, 194) is 21-for-21 on field goals under 50 yards the last two seasons. He’s had touchbacks on two-thirds of his kickoffs.

One of Jeter’s field goals was a 45-yarder against Notre Dame in the 2022 Gator Bowl.
