GRANITE QUARRY – West Rowan’s girls won a good battle with East Rowan to take the championship in the first Rowan County Tournament.

West totaled 147 points. East had 108. North Rowan (49), Salisbury (45) and Carson (10) were next.

There were 12 classifications. West and East had five individual champions apiece. Salisbury had two.

Most Outstanding Wrestler was East’s Jasmyne Brown.
