GRANITE QUARRY — West Rowan’s male wrestlers won their sixth straight Rowan County Tournament on Saturday at East Rowan.

There was a one-year interruption during the COVID pandemic, but this matches the longest streak ever for county titles. South Rowan won six straight in the 1990s.

West dominated with 308.5 points and had individual champs in 10 of the 14 weight classes.

Carson placed second with 163 points. Next were East Rowan (156), South Rowan (128), Salisbury (64) and North Rowan (46).
