Rowan Public Library is offering a Winter Reading Challenge for adult patrons ages 18 and up in the form of bingo! The challenge is already in full swing and will end Jan. 31. Participants are welcome to begin the challenge at any point, but cards must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. This challenge is like the bingo card RPL did in September for Library Card Sign-Up Month but comes with an online playing option! Adult patrons can participate on our ReadSquared which was the same app used for Summer Reading. For patrons that are interested in participating via the ReadSquared app, you can visit any RPL branch to fill out a quick-slip and have a staff member register you, or you can visit to get the link and register yourself (https://rowanpubliclibrary.readsquared.com/). Paper copies can also be picked up at any RPL branch and turned back in at any branch.

Bingo squares are focused on reading and exploring different genre’s formats, and titles than you are used to. Examples include “reading a book that was published the year you were born” and “Read a cozy mystery.” This bingo challenge comes with prizes, of course! Participants can get bingo either horizontal, diagonal, or vertical and come in to claim a prize. Prizes include things such as bookmarks, coloring kits, and fun ink pens. Bingo winners will also be entered to win one of four raffle prizes.
