In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • A larceny occurred in the 300 block of Annandale Avenue between 4 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 19. The total estimated loss was $75. Police reports indicate that Waterworks Visual Arts Center left holiday lights on display at Hurley Park’s pond deck, which were then stolen overnight.
  • A larceny occurred in the 700 block of East Innes Street at 10:17 a.m. on Dec. 19. The total estimated loss was $55.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street between 10 a.m. and 1:09 p.m. on Dec. 19.
  • A larceny occurred in the 800 block of South Jackson Street at 1:20 p.m. on Dec. 19. The total estimated loss was $450, which police reports were computer parts which were in the mail.
  • Vandalism occurred in the 200 block of Laurel Pointe Circle at 8 p.m. on Dec. 19.
  • Travion Lamar Heggins, 24, was charged with larceny on Dec. 19.
  • Dominique Demetrius Meade, 32, was charged with larceny on Dec. 19. Both Meade and Heggins were charged in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Sheetz on Jake Alexander Boulevard on Monday.
  • Darryl Lee Atwell, 53, was charged with driving while impaired on Dec. 19.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at Knox Road in Cleveland at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.
  • Vandalism occurred in the 1600 block of Sells Road in Salisbury between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Dec. 18.
  • James Edward Wooding III, 20, was charged with violation of a 50B order on Dec. 18.
  • Zachary Adam Reece, 31, was charged with assault on a female on Dec. 18.
