In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • Shooting into occupied property occurred in the 400 block of West 15th Street at 1:50 a.m. on Dec. 28. A police spokesperson said that police responded to the scene after neighbors reported hearing multiple shots. One round had been fired into the front door of the home and multiple spent shell casings were found nearby. No suspects have been identified in the incident.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 2200 block of South Main Street between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Dec. 27. It was reported on Dec. 28 and the total estimated loss was $400.
  • A larceny occurred in the 200 block of Faith Road between 5 p.m. and 5:48 p.m. on Dec. 28. The total estimated loss was $14.
  • A larceny occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 10:40 p.m. on Dec. 28. The total estimated loss was $31.
  • Rakya Sade Ellis, 30, was charged with breaking and entering of a building on Dec. 28.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • A larceny of automobile accessories occurred in the 4200 block of South Main Street in Salisbury at 8:10 a.m. on Dec. 21. Police reports indicate that a catalytic converter valued at an estimated $1,000 was stolen from a car.
  • A larceny occurred in the 200 block of Happy Lake Road in Rockwell at 9 a.m. on Dec. 21. Police reports indicate that a nativity scene decoration valued at an estimated $100 was stolen.
  • Credit card fraud occurred in the 100 block of Devonshire Lane in Faith between noon on Aug. 7 and noon on Nov. 29. It was reported on Dec. 21.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 100 block of South N.C. Highway 152 in China Grove at 3:27 p.m. on Dec. 21.
  • Vandalism occurred in the 100 block of Mink Drive in Salisbury at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 21.
  • A vehicle pursuit occurred in the 79500 block of North Interstate 85 at 9:19 p.m. on Dec. 21.
  • A larceny occurred in the 200 block of Country Place Drive in Rockwell between 5 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 9:40 a.m. on Dec. 24. Police reports indicate that an ax valued at an estimated $25 was stolen.
  • Credit card fraud occurred at Airport Road in Landis between noon on Nov. 2 and 12:16 p.m. on Dec. 26.
  • Credit card fraud occurred at Windward Lane in Landis between 2:58 p.m. on Nov. 26 and 2:58 p.m. on Dec. 26.
  • Tampering with a motor vehicle occurred at Duke Drive in Salisbury between 7 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. on Dec. 27.
  • A larceny occurred at Lucky Lane in Salisbury between noon on Dec. 22 and noon on Dec. 26. It was reported on Dec. 27.
  • Fraud by wire, computer or electronic manipulation occurred at Mt. Hope Church Road in Salisbury at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 27.
  • Vandalism occurred at Sells Road in Salisbury at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 27.
  • Fraud by identity theft occurred at West C Street in Kannapolis at 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 27.
  • Isaac Jose Castro, 19, was charged with hit and run causing property damage, driving while his license was revoked, displaying an expired registration plate and using an expired registration on Dec. 21.
  • John Francis Gallagher, 33, was charged with assault and second-degree trespassing on Dec. 21.
  • Darren Franklin Barmore, 21, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon on Dec. 21. Police reports indicate Barmore was stopped for a safe moving violation and his car was searched. Police reportedly found a handgun concealed under the driver’s side seat during the search.
  • Sarah Lynn Harwood, 36, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance on a penal institution’s premises, possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of a schedule II controlled substance on Dec. 22.
  • Christopher John Dugent, 28, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute and possession of a schedule II controlled substance on Dec 23.
  • Gregory Travis Houston, 40, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession or receiving of stolen property and a probation violation on Dec. 27.
  • Kayle Renae McCracken, 24, was charged with death by distribution on Dec. 27.
  • Dekniveya Janae Joyner, 24, was charged with communicating threats and injury to real property on Dec. 27.
