ROCKWELL — The Rockwell Board of Aldermen will hear the presentation of the results of the audit during its upcoming meeting on Monday.

The presentation will be given by Tony Brewer, an auditor for Eddie Carrick, CPA. All local government entities are required by the state to undergo annual audits for every fiscal year to ensure that their financial performance is healthy and that the government is in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, according to the North Carolina general statutes.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday at the Rockwell Town Hall located at 202 E. Main St. The other agenda items that will be discussed include:

• The board will hear reports from all of the different departments and committees in the town’s government.
• The board will schedule an ethics class, planning retreat and committee meetings for the upcoming year.
• The board will hear an update from a local IT professional on the council room and other information technology in town hall.
