KANNAPOLIS — West Rowan wrestlers won all five of their matches and placed first in Saturday’s Kannapolis Duals.

Grayson Burleson (heavyweight) and Hunter Miller (215 pounds) reached the 100-win milestone for their careers.

Miller won his five matches, with two decisions, a major decision and two forfeits.

Burleson was 5-0 with three pins, a decision and a forfeit.

Connor Misenheimer (157) was 5-0 with four pins and a forfeit.

Stetson Collins (144) was 5-0 with three pins, a tech fall and a major decision.

Kevin O’Brien (138) was 4-1 with four pins and a 5-4 loss in a tiebreaker to Central Cabarrus’ perennial state champ Charleston Baglio.

West won 81-0 against West Meck, 66-10 against South Rowan and 63-12 against Central Cabarrus.

South’s only winners in the match with West were Garrison Raper, who took a major decision at 106 pounds, and Mateo Diaz Ruiz, who had a pin at 120.

The South Rowan and Central Cabarrus wins counted for the Falcons in the South Piedmont Conference standings.

West won 66-13 against Carson in the semifinals.

Carson got a pin from Griffin Barber at 150. Parker Mills won a decision at 132, while Joseph Little took a major decision at 106.

The Falcons won 40-25 against Dudley in the championship match.

In the match with Dudley, O’Brien and Misenheimer had pins. Collins won a major decision, while Landon Spicer (132) and Burleson won close decisions.

Miller, Mason Kincaid (175) and Lane Jenkins (106) won by forfeit.

Carson lost the third-place match, 45-27, to South Stanly.

A.L. brown and Central Cabarrus tied for sixth.
