• A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 900 block of North Main Street between 8 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 5:35 a.m. on Jan. 12.
• Tampering with a meter occurred in the 400 block of Brownrigg Road between 8 p.m. on Jan. 10 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 12.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 200 block of Hamilton Drive between 8 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 12:50 p.m. on Jan. 12.
• Shoplifting occurred in the 400 block of South Jake Alexander Boulevard between 2:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 12. The total estimated loss was $215.

• Allyssa Michelle Andrus, 33, was charged with assault and battery or affray on Jan. 13.
• Daedrien Shamar Amaud Sturdivant, 22, was charged with assault on a female on Jan. 13.
• Spencer Vann Botteon, 25, was charged with larceny on Jan. 13.
• Chelsie Luann Shuping, 35, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance on Jan. 13.
• Kellie Marie Hydok, 36, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance on Jan. 13.
• Lillie Maureen Marks, 68, was charged with driving while impaired on Jan. 13.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A larceny from a building occurred in the 6700 block of Statesville Boulevard between 1:34 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2023 and 1:34 p.m. on Jan. 11. The total estimated loss was $7,000, which police reports indicate was a FANUC teaching pendant.
• Fraud by identity theft occurred in the 200 block of Victoria Street between noon on Oct. 28, 2022 and 1:28 p.m. on Jan. 10. It was reported on Jan. 12.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Jackson Road between noon on Jan. 12, 2021 and noon on Jan. 12. The total estimated loss was $20, which police reports indicate was a license plate.
• Vandalism occurred at Old Concord Road at 10:43 a.m. on Jan. 13. Police reports indicate that a mailbox was hit by a vehicle at that time.
• A larceny occurred in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 601 between 12:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. on Jan. 13. The total estimated loss was $175.
• Shoplifting occurred in the 5100 block of U.S. Highway 601 at 12:06 p.m. on Jan. 13. The total estimated loss was $18.40.
• A larceny occurred in the 1500 block of Gin Road between noon on Jan. 9 and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. The total estimated loss was $5,110.
• A rape occurred in the 200 block of Henderson Drive between midnight and 7 p.m. on Jan. 13.
• An assault with sexual motives occurred at Wind Drive at 8:10 a.m. on Jan. 14. Police reports indicate that the assault occurred during a domestic incident.
• A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at Dial Street between midnight and 10 a.m. on Dec. 24, 2023. It was reported on Jan. 14.
• Violation of a 50B protective order occurred at Crescent Heights Drive between noon on Nov. 20, 2023 and 1:06 p.m. on Jan. 14.
• William Isaac Darry Sanders, 41, was charged as a habitual felon on Jan. 11.
• Stephen Lewis Cornelius, 35, was charged with failure to obey a court order for child support on Jan. 11.
• Janelle Lynn Loeffler, 44, was charged with violation of a 50B protective order on Jan. 11.
• David Ray Stiller, 38, was charged with a probation violation on Jan. 12.
• Sheryl Woodson Query, 62, was charged with contempt of court on Jan. 12.
• John Lewis Jackson Jr., 29, was charged as an out-of-state fugitive from justice on Jan. 12. Jackson was served with arrest warrants out of Virginia.
• Shirez Daquon Sinclair, 28, was charged with possession of between 0.5 and 1.5 ounces of marijuana on Jan. 13.
• Amber Shalee Barnett, 35, was charged with shoplifting on Jan. 13.
• Luis Luna Hernandez, 27, was charged with resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer on Jan. 14.
• Mia Alyssa Botteon, 21, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on Jan. 14. The arrest was in relation to a domestic dispute that occurred on Jan. 14 in the 300 block of Grants Creek Road. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that deputies responded to the home after receiving a call that a man had been assaulted during a domestic dispute. They found the victim there with a laceration to his arm. The victim was treated by medical personnel on scene and later transported to the hospital.
• Kathleen Skipper Misenheimer, 36, was charged with violation of a 50B protective order on Jan. 14.
