SALISBURY — The Arbor Church, located 5545 Woodleaf Road, will celebrate the 185th anniversary of its founding on Jan. 21 at its 10 a.m. worship service and with a covered dish lunch in the fellowship hall after the service. An invitation to this event is to the extended community. Speakers will be N.C. Tar Heel legend Al Wood and Duke University standout Robert Hickey.

Church member and distinguished local coach Jan Dowling Young will also be honored during the event.

Their message will encourage those present to utilize their talents and encourage positivity. Area youth will be recognized for successes and contributions within the community. Chamber of Commerce President and Arbor member Terry Osborne is coordinating this event. Dewayne Lambeth is pastor at The Arbor.
