Two arrested after variety of drugs found during traffic stop

LANDIS — Two people were arrested in Landis after police found multiple different types of controlled substances in their car during a traffic stop.
The incident began at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday when an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation, according to a Facebook post from the Landis Police Department. The passenger of the vehicle allegedly provided the officer with two fictitious names before he was identified by the officer. Around this time, two deputies from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrived and assisted the officer, the post stated.
After ordering the two to exit the vehicle, one of the officers reportedly noticed a glass smoking pipe sitting in the open on the front console area of the vehicle. Officers then searched the vehicle and located undisclosed amounts of marijuana, psilocybin or mushrooms, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine, the post stated.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Alexa Doniell Tutterow, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of methamphetamine. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $5,000 bond, according to jail records.
The passenger, identified as 26-year-old Trevor Jon Anthony Elwood, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana. He was also placed in the detention center. Elwood was not given a bond, according to jail records.
