KANNAPOLIS — Crews are busy painting the city’s newest water storage tank this week. The crews are using a stencil and hand painting the city’s logo on the tank. Each letter in the word “Kannapolis” is 42 inches tall and the cupola graphic is 20 feet tall.

The water tank is located off I-85 at Old Beatty Ford Road at the new Overlook 85 Industrial Park and the Kannapolis Crossing Development. The water tank is 200 feet tall and will hold 300,000 gallons of water.
