LANDIS — Salisbury’s boys and South Rowan’s girls led the team scoring in Thursday’s track and field meet hosted by the Raiders.

South Piedmont Conference squads Carson, Robinson and Central Cabarrus were the other schools in the meet.

In the boys meet, the Hornets amassed 129 points to top Carson (100), Robinson (47), South Rowan (31) and Central Cabarrus (29).

Salisbury’s boys won three relays, taking the 4×100 (44.35 seconds), 4:200 (1:33) and 4×800 (8:43).

The Hornets went 1-2 in the 200 meter dash, with Jaylyn Smith (22.77) and Jordan Waller.

The Hornets also placed 1-2 in the 300 hurdles, with Robert Moulton (45.06) and Zahir Brown.

Other Salisbury individual winners were Jaylin Johnson in the 100 (11.57), Jamal Rule in the 400 (50.60), Avery Finnegan in the 1600 (5:03) and Quincy Robinson in the triple jump (39-10).

Carson went 1-2 in the 110 hurdles, with Connor Aman (18.78) and Tanner Simpson.

Carson was 1-2 in the 800, with James Anderson (2:06.50) and Eric Gillis.

Other individual winners for the Cougars were Carson Aman in the long jump (18-5), Damir Miller in the high jump (6-2) and Caleb Casper in the discus (98-4).

South Rowan’s boys won the 4×400.

South Rowan’s girls scored 94.5 to win against Salisbury (91), Central Cabarrus (89), Carson (45.5) and Robinson (13).

Salisbury won the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.

Millie Wymbs won the 400 (1:06.18) and 800 (2:44.68).

Dashia Canada (51.59) and Alyrica Abel went 1-2 in the 300 hurdles.

Tai’lah Ward won the 200 in 25.97. Xaniya Price won the discus (79-1).

South’s Blythe Elliott (14:27) and Madison Beaver were 1-2 in the 3200.

South won the 4×400 in 4:43.

Macy Miller won the high jump (5-6). Mesiyah Howell won the 100 (12.95), Madalynn Gulledge won the 1600 in 6:02.
