In Salisbury Police Department reports:

• A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 100 block of Crawford Street between 10:30 p.m. on March 17 and 3:30 a.m. on March 18.
• Discharging of a firearm occurred in the 300 block of Roy Street between 12:42 p.m. on March 17 and 12:42 p.m. on March 18. Police reports indicate that officers responded to the area in reference to shell casings being found on the ground.
• Fraud by false pretenses occurred in the 1100 block of West Fisher Street between 3:04 p.m. and 9:55 p.m. on March 18. The total estimated loss was $240.
• Zane Mathew Venne, 19, was charged with felony uttering a forged instrument on March 18.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A theft of a motor vehicle occurred at South Main Street at 3:11 p.m. on March 17.
• Michael Antonio Griffin, 34, was charged with simple assault and assault on a female on March 17.
• Holly Danielle Wilson, 28, was charged with larceny on March 17.
