KANNAPOLIS — At its upcoming meeting, the Kannapolis City Council will hear from Parks and Recreation Director Gary Mills about approving the parks and recreation comprehensive masterplan. 

The meeting will take place on Monday, March 25, at the city hall building at 6 p.m. Here are the other agenda items that will be discussed: 

• Director of Information Technology Tony Eury will be giving a “city department spotlight” on the information technology department. 
• Mayor Darrell Hinnant will be making the following proclamations: National Women’s History Month and National Red Cross Month. 
• Parks and Recreation Director Gary Mills will ask the council to support in applying for a Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grant. 
• City Manager Mike Legg and City Attorney Walter Safrit will ask the council to consider safety changes for city council and board and commission meetings.
