The April edition of Salisbury the Magazine is on racks now.
Featured in this month’s edition, Pete Prunkl dives into Catawba College’s efforts to curb the population of an invasive boar species wreaking havoc on Rowan County farms.
The magazine’s cover story digs into Marleigh Adams’ downtown-Salisbury plant shop, ROOTS Plant Exchange. Editor Maggie Blackwell’s feature chronicles Adams’ effort to create a unique, aesthetically-positive shopping experience to downtown that opens customers’ eyes to the wide world of plants.
Blackwell’s regular Rowan Original piece highlights Karen South Jones’ newfound love of walking and how it reshaped her life and body.
On page 30, readers can learn about Rowan County’s connection to the Black Greek Letter Organizations, also called the Divine Nine. The five fraternities and four sororities boast numerous Rowan County memberships representing multiple generations.
