CLEVELAND — A Salisbury woman has been charged after police said that she was found to have multiple controlled substances in her car during a routine traffic stop.

The incident began when a Cleveland Police Department officer noticed a car pull out too close in front of another vehicle without using their turn signal, according to Chief of Police Jon Jessop. Upon a search of the vehicle, officers located various types of controlled substances along with scales, a large amount of small bills and syringes, according to a Facebook post from the department.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Kimberly Ann High, was listed in Rowan County Detention Center records as being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute; possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute; possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute; felony possession of cocaine; felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance; felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance; possession of a schedule III controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute; possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute; possession of marijuana paraphernalia; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

High was placed in the detention center and given a $10,000 bond.
