SALISBURY — The Salisbury Police Department has cancelled an Amber Alert that was issued for two missing children after they were found safe.

The two children are two-year-old Igh’Jhlan Silver and three-year-old Prasjhas Reid.

The alert was cancelled at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, an hour after it was sent out. Major Justin Crews, a spokesperson for the department said that both Reid and Silver were found safe.

The children were found after an officer noticed the Nissan sitting behind a house at an undisclosed location in Salisbury. The two children were found unharmed in the car, but Smith was not present, Crews said.

No arrests have been made in the case as of Saturday morning, Crews said.

The two are believed by police to be with 25-year-old Kevin Antonio Smith, who is  described as a 25-year-old Black male, five feet and six inches tall and weighing 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The alert states that the three were initially believed to be in the area of North Caldwell Street and West Innes Street. Their current direction of travel or approximate location is unknown.

Smith is believed to be driving a gray 2023 Nissan Altima with N.C. license tag number KHB1698.
