In Salisbury Police Department reports:
- A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 700 block of Jake Alexander Boulevard West at midnight on June 26.
- Shoplifting occurred in the 500 block of East Innes Street at 9:20 p.m. on June 26. The total estimated loss was $24.
- A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the first block of Cedar Street between midnight and 1:50 a.m. on June 27. The total estimated loss was $150.
- Keara Nunn Benjamin, 22, was charged with misdemeanor injury to personal property on June 26.
In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:
- Failure to report child abuse occurred at Goodson Road between 12:01 a.m. on May 21 and 11:40 a.m. on June 25.
- Fraud by false pretenses occurred at N.C. Highway 801 at 11 a.m. on June 25.
- Paying with a worthless check occurred at Glenbriar Court at 2:03 p.m. on June 25.
- Gavin Ray Kirk, 38, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor violation of a domestic violence protective order on June 25.
- Briana Nichole Ferrette, 31, was charged with misdemeanor hit and run causing property damage occurred on June 25.
- Travis Elmer Cox, 44, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance on June 25.
- Jessica Marie Bowles, 33, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of up to 0.5 ounces of marijuana on June 25.
- Marquis Lee Hunter, 20, was charged with misdemeanor breaking or entering on June 25.
- Oliver LaChance, 23, was charged with felony damage to state or local government property on June 25. Captain Mark McDaniel, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, said that LaChance, who is an inmate at the Rowan County Detention Center, was charged with breaking a sprinkler head in the jail.
- Milton Neftali Cordero-Vargas, 42, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor violation of a domestic violence protective order on June 25.
