Rowan Public Library

Bigfoot is coming to the Rowan Public Library and there are programs and activities for everyone. All ages are invited to RPL Headquarters (Salisbury) on Saturday, July 20, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to celebrate a day all about Bigfoot. Programs and activities will be held throughout the day. Children of all ages are invited to enjoy a “Bigfoot at the Library” storytime and craft at 11:30 a.m. There will be a Bigfoot Paint Along at 1 p.m. This step-by-step painting is geared towards teens, but everyone is welcome to test their painting skills and create a Bigfoot inspired work of art. Learn how to survive in the wild with Rowan Wild at 2 p.m., especially if you think you spot Bigfoot. Wrap up the day with “Bigfoot: What the Experts Say,” a presentation by Bigfoot field researcher Richard Reles at 3 p.m. Reles will talk about being a field researcher, his encounters with Bigfoot, and will bring some fun artifacts for participants to explore.

Throughout the day, the library will have passive activities including a photobooth with Bigfoot himself, color our community Bigfoot coloring page, find Bigfoot scavenger hunt, a Bigfoot fact walk and more. Prizes will be given out throughout the day for attending programs and completing the activities. For more information, call Lyndsey at 704-216-8248.
