ROCKY MOUNT — The Rowan Little League softball all-stars scored five runs in the fifth inning and beat Pitt County 7-5 on Wednesday to win the 10U state championship.

Rowan retired Pitt 1-2-3 in the top of the sixth to clinch the victory.

Rowan had to win twice against Pitt County in tough games, coming back on Tuesday as well.

Rowan advances to the Tournament of State Champions Regional that will be held in Clarksville, Tenn.
