In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 8:20 a.m. on July 17. The total estimated loss was $11.
  • A burglary by unlawful entry occurred in the 2200 block of Woodleaf Road between 6 a.m. on May 27 and 7:30 p.m. on July 9. It was reported on July 17. The total estimated loss was $1,010.
  • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 1800 block of Brenner Avenue between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on July 17.
  • A burglary by forcible entry occurred in the 500 block of South Craige Street between 5 p.m. on July 6 and 5:45 p.m. on July 17.
  • A burglary by forcible entry occurred in the 100 block of South Jackson Street between 10:44 p.m. on July 17 and 1:15 a.m. on July 18.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • Miscellaneous littering or trash dumping occurred at Long Ferry Road at 11:23 a.m. on July 3. It was reported on July 16.
  • Fraud by false pretenses occurred at Mooresville Road between noon on June 13 and 4:38 p.m. on July 16.
  • A burglary by forcible entry and vandalism occurred in the 100 block of Diesel Leak Lane between 7 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on July 15. It was reported on July 16.
  • Vandalism occurred at St. Matthews Church Road at 6:45 p.m. on July 16.
  • Vandalism occurred at Miller Road between 2 p.m. on July 13 and 3 p.m. on July 14. It was reported on July 16.
  • Venica Renee Smith, 51, was charged with misdemeanor possession of up to 0.5 ounces of marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of an open container while driving and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on July 16.
  • Jesse Wayne Morgan Sr., 38, was charged with misdemeanor second-degree trespassing on July 16.
  • Demetrius Rashad Davison, 29, was charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle on July 16.
  • Kendall Donquil Hosch, 30, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female on July 16.
  • Mark Joseph Baptista, 53, was charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor on July 16.
